Welcome to Temple 420
In April of 2006, Rev. CraigX Rubin founded Temple 420 as a refuge for
the spiritual growth of the 420 Nation. A Judeo-Christian Fellowship
with the belief that the Ten Commandments are the moral and spiritual
guide that G-D has given us. The Fellowship holds Cannabis as a
sacrament, as mentioned in both the Old and New Testament, and most
specifically in Revelation 22:2 as a plant for the healing of all
nations.
In early November of 2006 the Los Angeles Police Department arrested
Rev. Rubin at the temple under a warrant obtained under dubious
circumstances, which failed to acknowledge the fact that the temple is a
legitimate religious organization, and thus entitled to specific
protections under the law. The case is slowly wending its way through
the court system and has yet to go to trial. More recently, the
landlord of the building where Temple 420 is located broke the lease, so
a move is in progress. Rev. Rubin has also filed a $30 million lawsuit
against the LAPD.
Meanwhile, Temple 420 continues to hold services:
Fridays at sundown, for Sabbath candlelighting.
Saturdays at 4:20pm for an Old Testament.
Sundays at 4:20pm for a New Testament.
Thursdays at 8:30pm is Comedy night, which is secular (i.e. not
religious) but a lot of fun in any case.
As we are in transition, it is probably a good idea to call Rev.
Rubin to be sure we will be holding a specific service, or if you have
any questions, he will be more than happy to answer them. Please have
patience as he is quite busy at this time.
Please join us if you have the chance!
